Elliott Boys on Goodmorning America

Have you seen the Good Morning America feature called Your Three Words? We have loved watching it from week to week with our favorite weekend hosts Bill Wier and Kate Snow. We submitted some footage of the Elliott Boys and wouldn't you know it, they included them this week with the Counting Crowes! Check it out! They are about 2/3rds of the way through the piece! How cool is that? Love the two little girls with the tooth!

That wheat grass really took off!

The butter lamb was a real hit! Only in Minnesota. I thought it was white chocolate!

Happy Easter in the snow

Oly Saturday was the best!

Look at all of these happy faces!

Sweet Josephina
The gang's all here

"Snowly" Saturday

Happy Birthday Jimmy and thanks for hosting the entire crew! Can't believe we had so much snow!
The cousins armed with plenty of snowballs.

The grass is sprouting!

Here is a little update on the wheat grass. Here you see what it looks like on day 4. I have been moving them around the house all day to follow the sun in our windows!

Mr and Mrs E. Bunny

I am trying to get ready for Easter, but Mother Nature has other things in mind! We just got 4 inches of snow with 4 more on the way tonight! Happy First Day of Spring!

New pillows

Remember that shopping trip to Ikea? I got out the trusty old Singer and lickity split sewed up some new pillows! I love the colors of the stripes...they look like the colors of Italian Espedrilles!

Easter placecards

First I start out with the little egg shaped dishes from the dollar spot at Target.
Add some potting soil.
Sprinkle in the wheat grass that I picked up during the Buffalo Occasional Sale!
Pray that they sprout by next Sunday for Easter table placecards! I'll keep you posted!

Ikea and a fly fishing show

Shopping with Sal at Ikea. I found some great striped fabric for spring/summer pillows.
Love this pink couch. It looked especially good with the black and white pillows!

What is better than a trip to Ikea with your sister?

The boys went to a fly fishing show with Jonathan and Zoe (who lost her two front teeth!) XOXO

Got Milk?

Holy Cow (literally) We go through about 1-1/2 gallons of milk each day! Every time I shop, I have to pick up an extra gallon or four!

Spring is springing

Cardinals in the tree, green grass under my shoes, tiny buds appearing on the tree branches. Could it be Spring?

Fondue anyone?

The Francis girls had a great time at Kirstins Downtown Diva party. We started out at the Shout House at Block e in Minneapolis. Had a blast singing all the old tunes (Brittany did not know many of the songs)...Neil Diamond, Elton John, you know the good old stuff! After we sang and danced, we went to the Melting Pot for a little chocolate fondue. Delicious! Here is the one and only blurry photo that I took that night! Thanks girls!

Occasional Sales

Little old Buffalo has what they call "Occasional Sales". Once a month the antique stores open their doors with freshly painted(some of it is still wet!) old junk they dug out of some dumpster or picked up on the side of the road. What a hoot! Therese and Laurie came out today to shop and have a look see. It was really hard to look at all of the Easter decorations with snow on the ground and icicles (lots of them!) hanging from the trees. Laurie found a couple of cool wood trunks that she wants to use for firewood and we all bought a little bag of wheat grass seeds to grow some little pots of the green stuff for Easter...It looks so fresh and springy. Even though I only live about 40 miles from civilization, Therese gives me a hard time and says she has to pack a lunch so she can make the drive out here! Hey, at least she doesn't have to get on a plane anymore!

Icicles on the roof today

We had another 2 inches of snow this morning...so peaceful and white. Makes me feel clean! By mid-afternoon the sun was melting the snow and making some pretty good looking icicles. They are especially sparkly at sunset!
