Cinco de Mayo

Who would have thought when we moved to Minnesota that we would celebrate Cinco de Mayo complete with a mariachhi band and margaritas, right here in Buffalo? Happy twenty years to my true love!

20 years

May 5, 2010
20 years ago today Richard and I tied the knot. We had a wonderful day. I wore my Mom's dress and the Schlichting girls did the flowers.  Our marriage ceremony was held at St. Augustine's church and then a fancy reception at the Croatian Hall! Twenty years has gone by in the snap of a finger and as we like to say: "Not one fight!"
I love you Richard Elliott!

Guess who's coming for dinner?

April 22, 2010
Lucky us, we get to take care of  Baby Boy Braeden for a whole week! He is such a good and easy baby and we really enjoyed his stay! Thanks Nick and Kirstin!

Junking in Carver

April 15, 2010
Today Therese and I met up in Carver at The Mustard Moon to do some junking and celebrate T's 50th! (Happy Birthday dear friend!) We were inspired and indulged! Soo many cute ideas and good old fashioned junk that has been repurposed. After our time in Carver, we drove over along the river to Chaska and did a little look-see...but neither of us found anything. For lunch we headed over to The General Store in Minnetonka and had some salads and popovers... after a good shop in the store, we returned to the cafe to split a piece of this pumpkin bar...I am telling you it was DIVINE! I gotta get that recipe. The cafe has some great mosaic pieces and I especially love the mosaic lights hanging over the counter.

Happy 50th T...I hope we have a lot more junking adventures in the future! XOXO

On your mark, get set, go

April 8, 2010
Track Season is upon us and we have been graciously given some amazing days to run and be outside. This day started out gorgeous. The start of Jack's race was perfect...and then I was at the wrong place at the wrong time, taking this photo just as poor Jack twisted his ankle. The Doctor told us it was the first time someone brought in a photo of the injury as it was happening! YIKES!

Ouch!
Luckily it is not broken. He'll be on crutches for a week to 10 days.
